From Mondseeblick in Innerschwand, it is just a few minutes’ walk to Loibichl beach, and hiking and cycling routes start right at the door. Here are our tips for your summer by the lake.
Mondseeblick’s local mountain is the Hochplettspitz: waymarked trail no. 23 starts right in Bergen, the part of Innerschwand where our house is located. Along the way you keep getting views of Lake Mondsee, and at the summit, at approx. 1,130 m, a cosy resting spot awaits you for your packed picnic. Other trails lead along the lakeshore or up to the mountain pastures.
All hiking tips around Lake Mondsee
The approx. 26 km cycle loop around Lake Mondsee runs right past Mondseeblick and is signposted throughout as the R2 (Salzkammergut Radweg). Families cycle along the shore to Almeida Park in Mondsee, while mountain bikers head up forest roads to the Hochalm on the Mondseeberg. You can rent e-bikes right here at our house.
Cycling tours around Lake Mondsee
On the western shore of Lake Mondsee, in St. Lorenz, you will find the Golfclub Am Mondsee with its 18-hole championship course (par 72). You play with a view of the lake, and after your round the club restaurant with its large terrace invites you to stop for a bite. The season usually runs from April to October.
